Here is some information about these Tutorials
from Dr. T:
-
I
started publishing monthly Tutorials for the “Stereogram”, the
newsletter of the Ohio Stereo Photographic Society, in 1998 (I have been the
Editor of the newsletter since 1997). I published about 10
Tutorials/year. You can subscribe to the Stereogram for only $10/year and
receive all future Tutorials.
-
I
offered these Tutorials for sale in a bound volume. After 10 years of
Tutorials this volume (known as “Volume I”) got really big. Now, with 15
years of Tutorials, it was about time to put them in a CD. So I
commissioned Dennis Green to create the CDs that you see here.
-
One
advantage of the CD is that you get to see the Tutorials in color and you
can research different topics easily (for example, search for “Hyperstereo”)
-
The
first 11 years the focus was mainly on film 3d photography, but many of the
early topics are still of value today. For example, the concept of the
Stereo Window has not changed. One of my best early Tutorials were about
“Stereo Composition” (how to compose better pictures in stereo.) This
ideas in these Tutorials are equally important in film or digital
photography.
-
The
last 4 year are mainly about digital 3d photography. Here you will find some
subjects that I have worked on the past years, for example how to use the
“Advance 3D” mode in the Fuji for hyper/hypo stereos, how to modify the
Panasonic 3D lens for macro 3d, etc.
-
I
have authored most of these Tutorials but I have also had contributing
guests (noted below in the contents) like John Hart, David Kesner, Jay
Horowitz, John Waldmsmith, Ray Zone, etc. I am always looking for guest
contributors, if you are interested.
-
All
the topics (see below) are explained clearly with plenty of pictures and
illustrations. This is great reading for the beginner and advanced stereo
photographer. I think you will enjoy this collection of Tutorials. Thank
you!
